Setagaya - Tokyo
Setagaya is the largest residential area in Tokyo, but you'll hardly find any of the ultra-modern, sterile buildings that can make life in a big city uncomfortable. Instead, Setagaya is a family-friendly city that's home to a lively mix of shopping malls in Futakotamogawa and and vintage and second hand stores in Shimokitazawa. Not to be missed is Todoroki Valley, an urban oasis of bamboo forests and hidden temples.
