I worked in fashion for 10 years, and the role I enjoyed the most was buying. Being a buyer involves a lot of numbers; otherwise, it’s basically just shopping. For me, it was more about finding, hunting, observing, and figuring out how one piece would look with another. Even in my personal life, if I need to find something, I rarely delegate it.
