Book 3 of a series, and this refers back to the first book. Kalina still lives at home, only due to the fact that the crown pays her step-mother a widow’s portion for having a young lady who is under 18 in the household. Once the payments stop, she will move out. Kalina has made a little money selling flowers and bouquets. She hopes to open a flower shop one day, but she knows that she won’t be able to pick from the garden anymore or receive any of the money that was supposed to be hers.
