"Endeavour" in the launch position approx. 12 days before flight. There are special protective covers on all the windows and RCS nozzles that will be removed before flight. The white blankets (seen here) coating the aircraft are made of coated Nomex felt reusable surface insulation. They are used on the upper payload bay doors, portions of the midfuselage and aft fuselage sides, portions of the upper wing surface and a portion of the OMS/RCS pods for heat exclusion.
