Basilica Of San Vitale Plan

“Sistine Chapel, Vatican” c.1480 (demolition of the Magna Chapel to make way for the present chapel) by Baccio Pontelli (Florence 1450 - Urbino 1492). Commissioned by Pope Sixtus IV for who it is named. The chapel is a high rectangular brick building unadorned, common in Renaissance churches.
