We can surely say that Daisy got out of Peach's body, this palette swap was surely Daisy possessing Peach and imitating her so nobody would notice something is wrong with Peach and so Daisy was able to have fun in the body of her best friend and and by the way she was also able to learn how to use floating ability from Peach's body during all these years since Melee that would explain why as her own character, she can float and still use a moveset similar to Peach's.
