Created by a 9th grade female student in the Fall of 2014 in Fort Myers, Florida, this sculpture represents the way in which we pollute our oceans. The student was asked to create a work of art based on a social, environmental or political issue. She created a sea turtle out of the recycled materials that many people throw into our ocean causing harm to them.
