iPhone photo by @stephenwilkes: I was inspired to create this image by the work of the English painter J.M.W. Turner who so beautifully captured the magical colors and energy of #Venice. I am here in this incredible city to shoot my next #DayToNight and I'll be sharing more from my trip over the next few days on my account @stephenwilkes. #iphoneonly #multipleexposure #italy #travel by natgeo

@natgeo @stevewinterphoto Just finished a very exciting and rewarding tour of Australia New Zealand and Singapore for NG LIVE - Where I spoke of my life as a @natgeo photographer and my life working with and trying to help conserve big cats and the lands in which they live. Fantastic and receptive crowds at every venue - it was such and honor to take the stage for @nglive at such iconic locations as the Sydney Opera House seen here across the bay. Thank you to everyone involved in this tour…

Photo by @ciriljazbec / Greenlands dogs are one of the lesser known casualties of climate change. Karl-Frederik tosses frozen halibut to his sled dogs. He keeps them on an uninhabited island where they neednt be chained. Less ice makes it harder for dogs to earn their keep. Because of the shorter ice season some hunters can no longer afford to keep their dogs year-roundespecially given the availability of snowmobiles which dont need to be fed in the off-season.
