On the hill opposite the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte there is huge statue of Heracles/Hercules. Despite its size, the gardens are large enough that only its overall shape is visible from the steps of the palace. Vaux-le-Vicomte has been featured in many movies. Both IMDb and the official castle website have lists that seem incomplete. One of the lasts scenes of the 1998 american version of The Man in the Iron Mask concludes on a scene which was filmed from the location seen in this picture…
