George Frideric Handel (German: Georg Friedrich Händel (23 February 1685 – 14 April 1759) - a German-British Baroque composer, famous for his operas, oratorios, anthems and organ concertos.

Some of his arias, such as "O mio babbino caro" from Gianni Schicchi, "Che gelida manina" from La bohème, and "Nessun dorma" from Turandot, have become part of popular culture.
