Very rare cast iron mechanical toy lady at a sewing machine. She holds a lever in each hand, under her seat is a hidden spool of thread that is attached to the machine through her arm. When the wooden handled lever at the back is turned, the woman nods her head back and forth, and moves her arms as though sewing. The toy is painted its original black with gilt and aqua finish. The number "162" in impressed on the top plate of the sewing machine. Circa 1875.
