In the port of Boulogne, the Germans practice loading vehicles on board landing craft as part of the preparations for Operation Sealion. The vehicle is an Sd.kfz.8 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug 8 - "special motorized vehicle 8"). This was a German half-track vehicle that saw widespread use in WWII. Its main role was as a prime mover for heavy towed guns.
