JIZHOU' 'PAPERCUT' 'PHOENIX' BOWL, SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY, with rounded sides supported on a low foot and rising to a vertically lipped rim, decorated in papercut resist with a pair of long-tailed phoenix and three prunus blooms in dark-brown, all reserved against a ground dappled in caramel brown, the exterior covered in a rich brown glaze stopping neatly above the buff stoneware body. D 4 in.
