Wow this Warenskis (the Main Gauche) was at the Solvang Show in it's new Huey case. The dagger has been the subject, over time, of many imaging sessions and several magazine/publication presentations but this is a better, more complete viewing of it. A 1993 AKI presention piece. Owner says it's always impossible to capture the true brilliance of the gems ( about 700 diamonds and 40+ rubies), but the most recent image has really captured the rubies well.

A rapier, manufactured in the mid-19th century by the technology of the old masters as a gift to one high-ranking person. Such exceptionally flexible rapiers were made in Toledo in the beginning of 17th century. They were sold in gun shops and coiled in a circle to show its flexible properties.
A beautiful left hand dagger from the property of " Enrico Tamberlick" (Rome, March 16 1820 - Paris, March 13 1889) debuted in 1837 as Arnoldo in the Guglielmo Tell by Rossini, in 1850 at Royal Opera House at the Covent Garden in London, in 1857 he sang at Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, in 1873/74 in New York.

A GERMAN LANDSKNECHT DAGGER, IN 16TH CENTURY STYLE 19th Century With tapering blade of triangular section struck with a mark at the forte on one side, iron hilt with small side-ring, flat circular cap pommel engraved with a rosette, and wire-bound conical grip; in original iron sheath formed of two halves, applied with two groups of strongly moulded bands, leather belt-strap on a pair of loops at the rear, and with engraved by-knife and bodkin with bronze handles. 14 1/8in
