PORTRAIT OF A WOMAN: In the early 1980’s, Olivier BAUSSAN discovered the shea butter made by Burkinabe women in Burkina Faso and decided to use this ingredient to make L’OCCITANE products. This unique link with women of Burkina Faso has lasted over 30years. To go further and strengthen this partnership, the L’OCCITANE Foundation decided in 2006 to focus its action on the economic emancipation of the women in this country. [Copyright: Jean de la Tour]
