Reine is a fishing village and the administrative centre of the municipality of Moskenes in Nordland county, Norway. It is located on the island of Moskenesøya in the Lofoten archipelago, above the Arctic Circle, about 300 kilometres southwest of the town of Tromsø. The 0.33-square-kilometre village has a population (2011) of 329. The population density is 997 inhabitants per square kilometre. Reine Church is located here and it serves the northern part of the municipality.

Dreaming of Reine - Probably the most famous view on all of Lofoten islands, and with good reason. The incredibly picturesque setting of Reine on Moskenesøya, the outermost island accessible by road. It has been photographed a million times. Here you see my interpretation: A cold and quiet winter afternoon when it was just late enough for the village lights to turn on but still quite some time before blue hour... what I started to call the 'pink hour' because of the sometimes almost eerie…
