Regardless of political views, I think we can all agree that the world lost a powerful female leader in Margaret Thatcher today. The world needs more strong women to step into roles of leadership.

Margaret and Denis Thatcher
Evelyn Waugh - guilty, in 1946, of devouring H M Government bananas which were intended for his children. Perhaps he objected to the Labour government, which he reviled, using exotic fruit to ingratiate itself with future voters.
Harold Nicolson - a terriffic snob who would scarcely talk to any man who had not attended a top public school. He disliked Jews but claimed to oppose anti-Semitism. He lectured profitably in the US but loathed meeting its citizens. A failure as a politician, he did not have the “common touch” nor did he want to have it. He disliked the lower orders, the Japanese, Turks, Persians, Arabs, Slavs and Catholics.
Margaret Thatcher was Prime Minister of England during the 80's, but was unpopular with the working class due to her harsh mining policies. Xan Lyppiatt (the Warden, and undisputed leader of the nation) is hated by the members of the Five Fishes, due to his compulsory fertility testing policies.
