Smile through the pain. Happiness is always a choice- sometimes an extremely difficult one to reach, but it's always there as an option. Find your own reasons to be happy (which are your greatest source of emotional strength), and choose those thoughts as often as you can. And remind yourself that as long as you're alive, you are stronger than whatever it is weighing you down. Perspective doesn't fix problems- it just makes them easier to see, and life a little easier to handle.
