I've been experimenting with solar dyeing with natural dyes. I had this skein of tussah organic silk that was a kind of golden color. I dyed it with madder but it didn't do much except kind of stripe it here and there so I examined it and then redyed it with cochineal and a wee bit of lac from another left over jar. I loved the result, a strong red with subtle tones from all the different dyes. As usual, no idea what I'll do with it but it might be nice woven into something or knit.
