Scottish Muslin Trained Robe c.1790  Possibly a muslin woven in Paisley and narrow panels also embroidered in Scotland.  Information provided by Sonia Ashmore, Research Fellow at the V & A.    Apron front dress, bodice secured with Dorset buttons.  Back bodice with embroidered eyelets and lacing cord.  Sleeves very long and cut on the cross grain, the top of the sleeve lined.
