Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester (1900--1974), 4th child and 3rd son of King George V and Queen Mary. After his brother became King George VI, Prince Henry was made potential regent for his niece, Princess Elizabeth, in case she ascended the throne as a minor. He also served as a soldier and was Governor-General of Australia for 2 years. At the time of his death he was the last surviving child of George V and Queen Mary.
