Watson-Gay Sampler, 1811. I have seen several of these made by local (Tennessee) 8-9 year olds in the early 1900s, still framed in their grandchildren's homes. What a wonderful project for a third grader.

Sampler book made by Ellen Mahon between 1852 & 1854, showing off embroidery skills, doll clothes, knitted glove, etc. The work is Irish and possibly made under the tutelage of the Boyle family, pioneer teachers
Free Cross Stitch Pattern - Quaker Sampler
Cotton sampler embroidered with polychrome silks in cross, satin, chain and stem stitch with a little couching. The edges are bound with green watered silk ribbon. A repeating strawberry border encloses a picture of a house and garden with underneath it and inscription which reads ' Eliza Hall Chip: Norton'.
