He was best known for his silent films, in which his trademark was physical comedy with a consistently stoic, deadpan expression, earning him the nickname "The Great Stone Face." Keaton's last public appearance was in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (1966).
July 9th, 2002 - Rod Steiger, American actor, died at 77. Steiger died of pneumonia and complications from surgery for a gall bladder tumor on July 9, in Los Angeles and was buried in Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills Cemetery.
