An octagonal Meissen cup and saucer with finely painted chinoiserie scenes. Blue crossed swords mark, saucer marked //. A fault in the clay to the rim of the cup, which has been repaired in the manufactory. The saucer with a short crack to the edge, slightly open to the reverse. H of cup 7.5 cm. Ca. 1730 - 35, decor in the manner of Johann Gregorius Hoeroldt.
Saucer with Grisaille Landscape. Meissen. Circa mid 18th C. Decorated in the style of Johann Friedrich Metzsch, Bayreuth. Porcelain, enriched in colours and in gilt. The central picture shows a river landscape with a church, and is framed in an oval cartouche formed by a lively composition of plant-like rocailles, shells and flowers. + 13,5cm.
