Eagle Hunters from Western Mongolia
The only Mongolian woman Eagle Hunter with her eagle. 25 year-old Makpal Abdrazakova, the only known female golden eagle hunter, participates in competitions that evaluate how well her eagle, 10-year-old Akzhelke, can catch and kill prey. She has won several of the local contests, which demonstrates the bond between the bird and its master.
