A RARE AND FINE CHEST LOCK, SPANISH, 16TH CENTURY wrought iron, the finely worked clasp with an angel within an architectural niche, with cut out tracery all over, the bolts in the form of Gothic pilasters on Solomonic columns, the lower corners with scallop shells, (possibly for St James of Compostella), lacking keyhole guard

A GERMAN IRON STRONGBOX 17TH CENTURY painted black, the hinged lid with covered keyhole, the lock shooting ten bolts, the lockplate painted with the bust of an emperor among scrollwork, the front with false keyhole, hasps and a padlock height 48cm., width 75cm., depth 48.5cm.
