The most expensive of the Dutch engraved glasses in the Hubbard Collection sale at Bonhams was this 6in (15.5cm) high example of c.1780-90 stipple engraved by David Wolff. It sold at £17,000.
A Dutch engraved armorial light baluster goblet, mid 18th century, engraved with the arms of William V of Orange-Nassau, verso the lion shield of the Dutch Republic, supported on triple knops above an inverted baluster section and a conical foot, 20.5cm high. Willem V (1748-1806) was the last stadtholder of the Dutch Republic until the French Revolutionary Wars when he fled into exile, dying in Brunswick in 1806.

Two superb Newcastles with round funnel bowls and composite stems consisting of a knopped air twist section over a teared inverted baluster, a round knop and a conical foot. the armorial engraving is of the very highest quality, not surprisingly, the left-hand glass is signed 'J. Sang 1760'.
