Sculptor Deborah Baldizar “I liken my sculptures to maps. Each one is a physical description of an emotional place. Through my work I seek to identify discreet body language that might betray a private thought or reveal a hidden emotion. I am most interested in raw moments of self-reflection, inner thought and questioning.” - Deborah Baldizar
[Image #2 of Week: Oct 7th - Oct 11th] I like the ambiguous nature of this piece, it feels undefined and open to relate to anyone. You don't know if it's a woman holding a man or a man holding another man. You don't know their race, and you cannot see their faces. You are left to fill in the "characters" of this piece.
