Gold necklace of round-sectioned loop-in-loop chain. The tubular terminals have transverse grooving and large rings. To one of these rings is attached the long hook forming the clasp. Soldered to the hook are two decorative asymmetrical S-volutes in flat gold ribbon, forming a lyre design.  When found, two finger-rings (nos.8 and 9) were threaded onto this chain. Roman Britain, buried in the 5th century AD  Found at Hoxne, Suffolk (1992)
