"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do." - Atticus Finch / To Kill a Mockingbird #courage

Gregory Peck, Mary Badham, and Phillip Alford in To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)
Chapter 1: in this chapter, readers are introduced to the main characters. Scout, Jem, and Atticus Finch. readers see the family dynamic between father and children. This was described by scout (age 6) "Jem and I found our father satisfactory: he played with us, read to us, and treated us with courteous detachment"(Lee 6). here we see that Atticus respects his children but is not a helicopter parent.
Just never got over Ferris Bueller... this was the BEST movie ever!
