The eagle owl Flea was feeling broody, but couldn't have chicks of her own. So keepers at Saarburg's Birds of Prey Park took pity on the bird and gave her chicken eggs to incubate. Now the surrogate mother is doing a great job of raising the chicks, which hatched about a week ago. "She sees the young as her own children," zoo director Wolfgang Klotzbücher told the German news agency DPA. "And she's really happy about it."
