Gouden Carolus classic - Winner of the 2012 World Beer Awards in the category “World’s Best Dark Beer” Also won in 2010, 2009 and 2007. - Gouden Carolus is one of the strongest and most exciting beers in the world. After lengthy maturing and conditioning, it is bottled unfiltered, giving a beer which is rich in vitamins and 100% natural. Gouden Carolus has unlimited storage (it even improves with age) and will charm you with its warm coppery colour and rich bouquet.
Pauwel #Kwak - Kwak has a deep amber color and smells of caramel and dark sugar. Its taste is of caramel, toffee and even some hints of bananas. There is a bit of spiciness, too, which I am noticing for the first time tonight. The higher ABV is apparent, but the beer remains easily drinkable regardless.
Trappist Rochefort 10 - This beer defines what is unique about Belgian beers. The ABV is what stands out through the intertwining balance of flavors. Fruity and sweet but with a nice bitter kick that makes taking another sip the merrier. The attention to detail in the flavors. Not to sweet, not to bitter, a strong amount of alcohol that adds a third dimension to this beer.
Houblon Chouffe Dobbelen IPA Tripel - A unique marriage between the English tradition of IPAs, the new American revolution of Imperial IPAs and the classic Belgian way of brewing. Houblon Chouffe, although very much hopped as it is, showcases the unique balance between a very strong IPA and a very special Belgian Tripel exclusively created for this ale.
Trooper ale - This I've got to try - Iron Maiden vocalist, pilot and all around renaissance man, Bruce Dickinson, is now about to unleash a first-class beer on the world. Named after one of Iron Maiden’s most beloved songs, ’Trooper’ is being touted as a premium ale and has been brewed into existence at Robinson Brewery, who have been brewing award-winning beers from its Unicorn Brewery in Stockport for 175 years.
