Remember, Remember, The Fifth of November. In 1605, a plot to blow up the Parliament building was foiled when Guy Fawkes was discovered in the cellar with 20 barrels of gun powder. Today, it is a day of thanksgiving in the U.K. with fireworks and a tradition of burning Guy Fawkes in effigy.
