illustration, death and the maiden. For me, "Death and The Maiden" images are about the mystical union between Amima figures and Shadow figures that represent the collective unconscious. I like this image because the Anima/maiden is a child who confidently and boldly leads Death. To me it speaks of the greater psychic unity of children and their comfort with the contents that rise from the unconscious - as opposed to sexually mature adults.
