Aaron Copland (1900–1990), was an American composer, composition teacher, writer and conductor. Instrumental in forging a distinctly American style of composition, is best known to the public for the works he wrote in a deliberately accessible style often referred to as Populist. The open, slowly changing harmonies of many of his works are archetypical of what many people consider to be the sound of American music, evoking the vast American landscape and pioneer spirit.

Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams Paisley This couple's story is really adorable. After seeing her in "Father of the Bride," Brad decided to hire Kimberly to be in one of his music videos because he wanted to meet her. And they hit it off! The couple got married in 2003 and now have two kids -- Huck and Jasper. We also think it's very romantic that Brad wrote "Little Moments" about his wife, who these days can be found on the small screen in "Nashville."

Samuel Osmond Barber II (1910–1981) American composer of orchestral, opera, choral, & piano music. He is one of the most celebrated composers of the 20th century. When Barber was 28, his Adagio for Strings was performed by the NBC Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Arturo Toscanini in 1938. At the end of the first rehearsal of the piece, Toscanini remarked, "Semplice e bella" (simple & beautiful). In later years, he suffered from depression, & was also beset by alcoholism.
