If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you've probably already seen some pictures of Arles - I spent last week in the South of France visiting a Photo Festival, Les Rencontres d'Arles. It was a great week, mostly because of the lovely people I met, and the exhibitions I got to see. Bailey's Stardust was one of them (which I didn't get a chance to see while it was in London), and also some of August Sander's photos (I'm a big fan!). As much as the festival was about photography and networking it also was about fun and partying and free wine. There were lots of gallery openings and 'off-festival' exhibitions every night, and music and dancing after that. And not much sleep in total. ;) One of the best parts of the week was the food. We pretty much ate the same things all week long - baguette, cheese, salad, fruit, wine. And some ice cream. I could SO go back right now and keep living that life until the rest of my life. ;) I've got lots more photos to share with you, so check back for part two soon. The exhibitions are still on till September by the way if you get a chance to go. On a side note: The Photo Brunch is on 26 July, and there are still two spots left. I'd love to see you there and teach you how to take similar photos to these ones - of the streets of London (instead of Arles). Have you been to the South of France? Any other nice places to visit?
