Prince Phillip with his bride, Princess Mafalda of Italy, daughter of King Victor Emanuel III and sister of Umberto II, the last king of Italy (he reigned only a month). His marriage to Mafalda allowed Prince Phillip to act as a liason between Hitler and Mussolini.
