Untitled 1952. Esteban Vicente (1903 – 2001), was an American painter born in Spain. He was one of the first generation of New York School abstract expressionists. He was a founding member of the New York Studio School, where he taught for 36 years. Vicente has a museum devoted to him in Segovia, Spain.
