An interesting side note: the same sculptor was commissioned to make a bust of Mary Somerville to be placed in the Royal Academy since as a woman, she wasn't allowed membership. An excellent mother, Dora nursed her children through measles and whooping cough and saved the life of a sick granddaughter. Also sat with William through his asthma attacks.
