It's fun to make a giant robot for your Workshop of Wonders! This one greeted the VBS kids as they entered the church! All you need is boxes and flexible ductwork (and silver paint of course). www.cokesburyvbs.com/2014
Endeavor @ The Noble Family: VBS
Robots made from old bottle tops.
Most of these robots are put together with wood glue, staples and hot glue. They have a wooden base inside all the bodies and have very stable support legs. A lot of the items came from the Dollar store, Sunday school classroom toys, ice cream tubs from the local ice cream store and carpet rolls. I was amazed at the number of people and places that donated unused items. Other Interesting Gadgets: http://www.damniwantit.net/category/gadgets-and-gear/

Here's the robot I made to go along with the theme. He holds different books for reading suggestions. I'm currently holding a contest to name him. A SECOND GRADER WON> HIS NAME IS ROBUDDY!
