Maj. Stewart Hugh Joseph MID 3x. Commd'g 227th Field Company, Royal Engineers. He passed out with honours from the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, 10|1912. Commissioned to the Royal Engineers, 10|1912. Sailed for France, August 1914. He received his majority in June 1917. DOW received at Flanders, 18.8.1917. He is buried at the Voormezeele Enclosures No. 1 & No. 2. Grave Ref: I. G.5. Son of Henry Hope Joseph, of 112, Belgrave Rd., London, & the late Helen Christina Joseph (nee Porter).
