Tracker dogs, 1967 -- South Vietnam    Two black Labrador dogs which had a lot of sniffing to do during Operation Lismore that was completed by 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR). The dog handlers are 19983 Private (later Lance Corporal (L Cpl)) Thomas Douglas (Tom) Blackhurst of Swansea, NSW (left), with Justin and 43921 L Cpl Norman Leslie (Norm) Cameron of Kingston, SA, (right) with Cassius. The dogs were responsible for locating Viet Cong fighters.

Tim Page is one of the world’s best-known war photographers. Page became a war photographer almost by accident when, while traveling in south-east Asia, he witnessed civil war in Laos. Using a borrowed Nikon camera, Page photographed the coup d’état in Vientiane in January 1964 Page photographs were among the few taken of the coup. Later, Page was commissioned by United Press International to photograph the war in Vietnam, becoming one of the first to do so
