The 300th AFA was a Wyoming Army National Guard unit deployed to the Korean War in February 1951, entered combat in May 1951, and released from active federal service in September 1954. The unit was awarded some of the nation’s highest awards, to now include the Navy and Marine Corps Presidential Unit Citation, as of Sept. 13, 2010.
