In a publication, researchers from the University Georgia Tech presented an algorithm that optimizes the planning of holonomic trajectory - which can perform independently two translations and rotation - inspired by the cat falls. It can guide an articulated robot, through configuration changes, to take a position to reduce the landing impact.
