Boris Eremin (1913-2005) during the years of war has made 342 sorties, carried out more than 100 assault attack enemy positions, and participated in 70 air battles and shot down 23 German aircraft (8 person, 15 per group). He was twice shot down, wounded twice. Numerous awards, including six (!) Order of the Red Banner. Twice (1944 and 1945) was presented at the Hero of the Soviet Union, but the title was awarded only in 1991

Cpt Maria Ivanovna Valley (1922-2010) flew 72 sorties in a Pe-2 dive bombers, dropped 45 tonnes of bombs, and shot down 3 enemy fighters. In 1944, she was deputy commander of the 125th Guards Bomber Regiment, 4rth Guards Bomber Division. In 1945, Valley's service to the USSR and her combat performance won her the top award of Hero of the Soviet Union.

IN MEMORIAM : Roland de La Poype, pilote du Normandie-Niemen, décédé aujourd'hui à l'âge de 92 ans

Fils d'un colonel de réserve qui est tué à l'ennemi en mai Roland de la Poype s'engage le 5 décembre pour la durée de la guerre, au bataillon de l'air 131 du Mans.
