Un couple enlacé depuis 6000 ans ! Face à face dans la mort.  Deux squelettes ont été découverts en Italie lors d'un chantier de construction d'une usine à Mantoue (à 40 km au sud de Vérone). Les archéologues appelés sur place ont estimé que le couple de néolithiques a été inhumé il y a 5 à 6000 ans. L'étude de la dentition des fossiles montre que celle-ci était plutôt en bon état, sans trace d'usure trop forte. Cela permet d'estimer que nous avons affaire à de jeunes adultes.

Abercrombie was a polio patient and had been in an iron lung for almost three years. (Hospital policies on smoking were different then.) (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)

Apolline Alexander Blair, founder of the St. Louis Children's Hospital and its first president from 1879 to 1883. Blair, the widow of Civil War general and later Senator Francis P. Blair, Jr., asked friends to join her in establishing a hospital for children after two of her children died from infectious diseases.
