I was fortunate enough to happen upon this recipe for my great-grandmother Iny’s Prune Cake a few years ago.

• 1 cup Prunes
Refrigerated
• 3 Eggs, whole
Condiments
• 1 tbsp Corn syrup, White
Baking & Spices
• 1 tsp Allspice
• 1 1/2 tsp Baking soda
• 1 tsp Cinnamon
• 1 1/2 cup Flour
• 1 tsp Nutmeg
• 2 cup Sugar
• 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
Oils & Vinegars
• 1 cup Canola oil
Dairy
• 1/4 cup Butter
• 1 1/2 cup Buttermilk
