Japanese artist Toshiko Horiuchi-MacAdam is considered one of Japan's leading fiber artists, using knitting and crochet as the foundation for much of her work. Her website explains that she specializes in "creating large, interactive textile environments that function both as imaginative and vibrant explorations of color and form, at the same time as providing thrilling play environments."
Crochet Sea Ceatures by Arline Fisch - RAM commissioned internationally acclaimed jewelry artist Arline Fisch to create the new exhibition for its Windows on Fifth Gallery. Creatures from the Deep is a shimmering street-side aquarium of jellyfish sculptures. Fisch has rarely created anything but jewelry. Bringing her work to a grand scale, RAM's Windows showcases Arline's use of knitting and crocheting techniques to create these larger-than-life sea creatures made of wire.
