Timothy Hutton in Taps - my introduction to men with conflicted souls. I was transfixed by his character's focus and I was heartbroken by the ending of Taps.
Drexl Spivey from True Romance. I pretty much love anything Gary Oldman does.
When I worked in Rockaway, NJ, there was a cop who looked just like Lurch. We even used to call him that. He used to always give me speeding tickets on the same road all the time. One day he said, to me, Casey, are you ever gonna learn? I said probably not, Lurch so give me the ticket. No he says, I give up, have a nice day. I never got a ticket from him again. Matter of fact, he always waved at me when we saw each other. This is what his face looked like when he saw my car.
