Aniya la Gitana. The most famous flamenco star from Ronda is ANA AMAYA MOLINA, born in Ronda on the 27th of September 1885. She is also known as Aniya La Gitana. Besides flamenco dancing, she could play guitar and sing. She performed in the best flamenco clubs (Peñas) in Spain, with the biggest stars of her time. She was loved and respected by a lot of people, and knew famous artists and poets, like Manuel de Falla and Federico Garcia Lorca personally.
